With such simplicity, they [RedOctane, Activison, Neversoft & Harmonix] have been able to really engross gamers into the games they play. The Guitar Hero franchise has been so successful, at first it may have been hard to imagine that we will be expecting a 5th installment, not to mention the advent of Rock Band and other version of Rock Band as well. This franchise has as well been able to link gamers into music in a unique way. Younger generations of kids are instantly linked to their parent’s music of the older generations. Even more so, multiplayer modes offer a cool way to jam with your friends to good music. With all the possible combinations of instruments, albums and gameplay modes, we are sure to see even more releases in this franchise for the years to come.
