It’s no secret we here at GameShack are fans of Bioshock 2. So it’s no surprise that word of more single-player content taking us back to Rapture is very good news indeed. 2K Games has announced the team behind this winter’s worthiest sequel is hard at work on more story-driven content. Following the recent release of multiplayer DLC, it’s nice to see the game continues to get more support to keep fellow Rapturians coming back.

The DLC will explore a new area of the underwater city named Minerva’s Den. Players will assume the role of a new character which thankfully clears away the messy situation of importing either protagonist from the first two games. Rapture Central Computing is held in the tyrranical grip of a dictator. Details on the content’s main baddie are scarce but new weapons, plasmids, Splicers, and an all-new Bid Daddy are said to be lurking in the depths of the Den.

2K Games did not reveal a price or specific release date for the content but expect it sometime during fall 2010.
