This week at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany members from the biggest studios, developers, and publishers debuted new details on some of their most-anticipated titles. EA was on-hand to deliver a new trailer for Dead Space 2 along with some new gameplay footage that had fans of the original at a fever-pitch. The official trailer from EA shows Clarke making a halo jump from one area of the Sprawl (a futuristic city run amok with necromorphs, naturally) to another. The second, shows an on-stage demo of Isaac doing what survival horror engineers do best- repairing a busted part of the electrical system. Everything from the visuals to the sound design is impeccable and makes the next few months of waiting all the more difficult. Keep a sharp lookout for Isaac’s new rig upgrades including those fancy jet-boosting boots. It seems a bit strange to hear our silent protagonist suddenly become such a chatty Kathy but we’re willing to hear him out when Dead Space 2 drops this January.
